Taraprasad Mishra, a 65-year-old versatile individual, has had an illustrious career spanning over four decades. After completing his post-graduation in English Literature, he began his professional journey as an English Lecturer in a renowned Government Graduate college in Bhubaneswar. Following a brief teaching stint, Mishra transitioned to the banking sector, working as an officer in a Government Bank for thirteen years before moving to a private company, where he handled banking and international business.

With extensive experience in the commercial world, Mishra embarked on his entrepreneurial venture, which he successfully ran for nearly two and a half decades. Despite his business commitments, his passion for writing remained unwavering. To enhance his knowledge and insight, essential attributes for a writer, Mishra devoted himself to reading extensively on various subjects during this period.
