Srinivasa Addepalli
Srinivasa Addepalli is an accomplished author and entrepreneur who has made significant contributions to the world of literature and education. He spent eight years living in hostels during the 1990s, with his four-year stay at REC (now NIT) in Surat being the most memorable. During this time, he wrote a column called “Hostelitis” for the youth magazine, JAM, which chronicled his experiences of hostel life.
Twenty-five years later, Addepalli drew upon these stories to create a book that captures the essence of his time in the hostels. After graduating from IIM Ahmedabad, one of India’s premier business schools, he ventured into the corporate world, focusing on strategy and mergers and acquisitions.
However, his passion for education never waned, and he later became a visiting faculty member at various MBA and engineering colleges, perhaps driven by a desire to relive his hostel days. Currently, Addepalli resides in Mumbai and runs an ed-tech start-up that focuses on professional education and upskilling, continuing his commitment to shaping the minds of the future.
