Kagaz ki Kashtiyan (Paper Boats) is a deeply moving collection of Hindi poetry and lyrical prose by debut author Sruthi Suresh. Like the delicate paper boats of childhood, each verse navigates the turbulent yet beautiful waters of human emotion — memory, longing, love, and transformation.

Drawing from her Malayali roots, the fast pace of Delhi, and quiet moments stolen on office staircases and the lanes of Old Delhi, Sruthi weaves a tapestry of feeling that is both intimate and universal. Her writing invites readers to slow down, look inward, and reconnect with the stillness within.

The collection is structured around three core themes: revisiting innocence through the metaphor of paper boats; embracing reflection as a tool for emotional healing; and navigating life’s transitions from nostalgia to the present moment. The prose sections provide grounded narrative depth that beautifully complements the abstract lyricism of the poems.

Influenced by the legendary Gulzar and rooted in a deep love for the Hindi language, Kagaz ki Kashtiyan is an ideal read for lovers of Hindi poetry, literary fiction, and emotional storytelling. A perfect gift for readers who seek beauty in everyday life.
